Question by tom: Can I use 20 mm engineered wood above underfloor heating?
I Like a wood floor, but is it mad to use it over underfloor heating? should I use a thinner wood, say 15mm, or what? Any experienced advice please?

Personally, I would never use wood over underfloor heating its okay for ceramic tiles but not wood. Try look alike wood finish tiles they will never move or shrink like wood.

It will work if the under floor heating is made for wood ( of any kind) is made to go over it. Some you can some you cant. The 20 mm just wont transfer the heat as well as a thinner laminate or engineered wood like a 10 or 12 mm will. Ceramic will radiate the heat the best.
The installation method will also vary depending on the type of heating system you have or are installing.
