Cheaper to use a fan heater or a convector. (note you have to have them installed properly and isolated in a bathroom)

It depends on numerous factors. The efficiency of your boiler, what fuel type it is & how long you have your heating on, as well as the temperature settings. It is just a case of suck it & see.
As radiant heat eliminates the wasteful build-up of heat under the ceiling, underfloor heating is more energy efficient, proving especially economical in homes with high ceilings.
It is NEVER cheaper to use a fan heater or convector in a bathroom. That is the most unecomonical form of heating around.

You don t say how or what type it is. If its for tile and electric or any isolated system then you can control times it comes on and goes off.Yes it will add costs but its pure pleasure on the feet before and after a shower gl
Eh,about £1.38 a night.
i’m guessing it’s electric underfloor heating you’re enquiring about.
the power rating of underfloor heating mats varies depending on whether the floor is concrete or timber and whether there is a timber or ceramic tiled finish.
for a 3 m area it’s usually around 0.3 kw (timber floor and timber finish), 0.45 kw (timber floor and tiled finish) and 0.6kw (concrete floor and tiled finish).
you need to look at your electricity bill to find out what they charge you per kw hour but as a rough guide, the 0.3kw would cost you around 4p an hour, the 0.45 kw around 6p an hour, and the 0.6 kw around 8p an hour. don’t forget, if it’s left on 24hrs a day, the thermostat will turn it off for periods after it reaches the required temperature, so don’t multiply these rates by 24 to see how much it costs a day, it won’t be as much as that.
